I hardly know why I bother, but there's the irony for you: I seem far more cynical than most, even those whom prima facie would appear to have been given greater cause (and please, don't mention christian paraplegics thanking dog with their one good eyelid [Did you see what I did there? "Dog" - it's "god" backward, you know "the god of love" ] or I might just puke!), but the truth is that deep down, despite just how much I know better, I am an optimist.
