Like you, I wouldn't be here if D/s didn't matter greatly to me. Sure, I could make a romantic relationship work with someone who merely accommodated my desires. But how much better to be with someone who profoundly reciprocates the joyful mystery of D/s.

As to who I am in a general context:
I assert I embody a graceful balance of dialectic balances:
- well established/stable but growing,
- with examined views but delighting in changing my mind when presented with better data and/or logic,
- passionate and with a regrettable tendency to interrupt out of polemic enthusiasm yet...a good listener
- prone to infatuation but capable of enduring fidelity and commitment,
- refined tastes but unusual in my lack of materialistic impulses,
- trusting yet disillusioned [to me most illusions, the "soul" being a notable exception, would seem like something one should recognize as such]
- intelligent but carnal as..oh wait - must be mindful of "Terms of Service" here.

A few words about age. I'm 55 but more fit and certainly less scl or irreversibly differentiated than most younger men. I'm a risk taker and, while successfully engaged in intensely satisfying work, still in an actively striving mode of upward mobility. I naturally gravitate toward relationships with younger women. Those who meet me find themselves reciprocating - even if they had never before thought of themselves as potentially interested in "older men".
